Snoozing
Dad took this picture of us today.
That’s Patches the Millennium kitty (also known as P-Kitty).
We had a nice nap together in the sun spot today.
Kisses,
Winnie and Jiggs
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Today we celebrate our love for each other!

Winnie: I love Jiggs because he is sweet to me, he plays nice, and he keeps me warm on cold winter nights.

Jiggs: I love Winnie because she is beautiful and she is really smart. I hope we stay together forever. She gives me kissies too.

Jiggs: Look what I got for Winnie! I think she will love it…
Winnie: Look what I got for Jiggs!

Happy Valentine’s Day from Winnie and Jiggs!
Our Day at Half Moon Bay
Today was a beautiful day. Dad said, “where do you want to go?”
We said, “The Beach!”
So we packed up and headed to Half Moon Bay. Here we are in the back seat on the way. JIggs: Winnie likes to lay down right away, but I like to sit up most of the time and look out the window. Here is a rare photo of me laying down.

Winnie: We could not walk on the beach for a few reasons. A) There were lots of dogs off-leash on the beach. They don’t respect leash-laws at Half Moon Bay. B) The tide was high and there were lots of places where there was no beach. But we got to walk along the cliff and sniff the ocean and we were so happy!
And here is another reason we could not walk on the sand.
Jiggs: Mama gets upset when she sees these signs. She says “my tax dollars are maintaining this beach! We should be able to go there!” But I think I know why – so many dog owners don’t pick up after their dogs and don’t respect the rules that they ruin it for the rest of us…
Winnie: After our long walk along the cliff we went to our favorite dog-friendly restaurant. But it was packed. In fact, all three dog-friendly restaurants in Half Moon Bay were completely full of people with very long waits. So we gave up.
Jiggs: We headed home and went to our favorite dog-friendly restaurant in Mountain View. Here we are being Good Pitties at the restaurant. Winnie: We had a Fun Day!
Rest in peace, Mr. Martin Luther King – we honor you today.
2013!

We are looking forward to more adventures this year! We think about all the homeless doggies out there and in our lucky little hearts we hope they find their forever homes too.
Mama said this is a time for R-E-S-O-L-U-T-I-O-N-S. So we had to come up with a few of them.
Winnie: I’ll go first. Here are my resolutions –
- I won’t pull the stuffing out of my crate pad.
- I won’t chew holes into my crate blankets.
- I won’t sulk when Mama takes Jiggs to school on Sundays.
- I won’t chew up the firewood kindling when no one is looking.
- I’ll stop searching for Kitty Roca.
Jiggs: Ok, here is my list –
- I won’t yodel and sing in my crate for the first few minutes when Mama is doing yardwork.
- I’ll stop barking barking barking at house guests. (But I have so much to say!)
- I’ll stop reacting to other dogs when we are on our walks.
- I won’t flatten out whenever Dad or Mama put me on a “heel.”
- I’ll wait for permission before jumping on the Big Bed.
But honestly, we are Very Good Pitties – Mama and Dad say so all the time, and we know we are loved.
We hope your Resolutions come true too!
XXOOXX,
Winnie and Jiggs
Santa was good to us!
We had a great Christmas because we are Good Pitties! Christmas at Grandma’s house with Titia, Dad and Mama was wonderful. (Winnie: Titia is Mama’s sister in case you are wondering – she’s great cuz she spoils us – we love that.) At Grandma’s house we can jump on the couches as much as we want to – much to Mama’s dismay. Oh well, everyone knows that Grandma’s house is always the best!
We got matching His and Hers fleece jackets…

And check out the lovely jackets Titia gave us! Dad says they are our Aspen jackets for when we go skiing at Aspen (not going to happen). Winnie: I feel so sexy in my jacket!

Here we are surrounded by all the stuff we got!

And here are the Lamb Chops that Titia gave us – aren’t they cute? Jiggs: Can I have it now? Pleeeeze?

Here is Jiggs with both Lamb Chops – he needs to learn the Concept of Sharing…

We had a wonderful Christmas – we hope you did too!
Love, Winnie and Jiggs
Happy Holidays!
We had several photo-shoots to get a Season’s Greetings card. It takes a lot of time and Mama says we are “un-cooperative.” But we think it is hard to sit still for such a looong time.
Enter the bribes…

Most of the pictures look like this:

And finally, a Good One!
Season’s Greetings from Winnie and Jiggs!
A scary day…
Winnie: This morning mama took us for our daily poop walk. We were almost home when suddenly, a loose dog ran across the street and attacked us!
Jiggs: It was awful. Mama was screaming for help but no one came. The dog was biting us and we were fighting back as best we could. The dog was much bigger than we are.
Winnie: It only lasted for seconds, but mama felt like it went on forever. The dog bit me on the chest, and bit Jiggs on his shoulder.
Jiggs: Mama remembered what Mr Tim said and started throwing rocks at the dog. But I think it stopped and went away because Winnie and I were a team and the dog thought “two against one isn’t going to go my way.”
Winnie: We rushed home. Mama and dad looked at our injuries. Mama was MAD – she said “I am going back to talk to the owner. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE.” Dad went with her.
Jiggs: The owner was outside looking for his dog. He said he was so sorry that his dog hurt us, and that he would take “full responsibility.”
Winnie: Mama and Dad put us in the car and took us to E-M-E-R-G-E-N-C-Y. Jiggs licked my bloody wound and I licked his all the way to the vet. Because we love each other.

Winnie boo-boo
Jiggs: I got a staple in my boo-boo. But Winnie was so freaked out that she growled at the nice vet-lady. Vet-lady said, “just clean her wound and keep an eye on it.”

Jiggs boo-boo
Winnie: We have drugs to keep us from infection and inflammation. But we are going to be fine. It was scary. I did not like it. Now mama is going to buy something to protect us from loose mean dogs. It’s a big stick.
We are going to be fine.

We were traumatized today. Peace.
