Our Day at Half Moon Bay

Today was a beautiful day. Dad said, “where do you want to go?”

We said, “The Beach!”

So we packed up and headed to Half Moon Bay. Here we are in the back seat on the way. JIggs: Winnie likes to lay down right away, but I like to sit up most of the time and look out the window. Here is a rare photo of me laying down.

Winnie: We could not walk on the beach for a few reasons. A) There were lots of dogs off-leash on the beach. They don’t respect leash-laws at Half Moon Bay. B) The tide was high and there were lots of places where there was no beach. But we got to walk along the cliff and sniff the ocean and we were so happy!

IMG_0010Jiggs: Mama gets upset when she sees these signs. She says “my tax dollars are maintaining this beach! We should be able to go there!” But I think I know why – so many dog owners don’t pick up after their dogs and don’t respect the rules that they ruin it for the rest of us…

Winnie: After our long walk along the cliff we went to our favorite dog-friendly restaurant. But it was packed. In fact, all three dog-friendly restaurants in Half Moon Bay were completely full of people with very long waits. So we gave up.

Jiggs: We headed home and went to our favorite dog-friendly restaurant in Mountain View. Here we are being Good Pitties at the restaurant. Winnie: We had a Fun Day!

2013!

We are looking forward to more adventures this year! We think about all the homeless doggies out there and in our lucky little hearts we hope they find their forever homes too.

Mama said this is a time for R-E-S-O-L-U-T-I-O-N-S. So we had to come up with a few of them.

Winnie: I’ll go first. Here are my resolutions –

  1. I won’t pull the stuffing out of my crate pad.
  2. I won’t chew holes into my crate blankets.
  3. I won’t sulk when Mama takes Jiggs to school on Sundays.
  4. I won’t chew up the firewood kindling when no one is looking.
  5. I’ll stop searching for Kitty Roca.

Jiggs: Ok, here is my list –

  1. I won’t yodel and sing in my crate for the first few minutes when Mama is doing yardwork.
  2. I’ll stop barking barking barking at house guests. (But I have so much to say!)
  3. I’ll stop reacting to other dogs when we are on our walks.
  4. I won’t flatten out whenever Dad or Mama put me on a “heel.”
  5. I’ll wait for permission before jumping on the Big Bed.

But honestly, we are Very Good Pitties – Mama and Dad say so all the time, and we know we are loved.

We hope your Resolutions come true too!

XXOOXX,

Winnie and Jiggs
